AGAPANTUS Varieties

The Agapantus originates from South Africa and Australia and are part of the Lily family.  These beautiful plants deliver showy globes of trumpet shaped blue or white flowers appearing on tall, straight stems above clumps of long, green leaves.  It is normal to expect flowers of 20cms in diameter.

 

Agapantus Brilliant Blue

 

Agapantus “Brilliant Blue” is a dwarf and very floriferous African Lily.  It produces masses of deep blue flowers during the summer.  A three year old plant can have more than 50 flower stems each with over 50 florets per flower head.  It is ideal for use in patio containers or in perennial or mixed borders.

 

Likes:       Full sun or partial shade, draught tolerant

Dislikes:  Waterlogged soil, shade or temperatures below -10 degrees

 

Agapanthus “Blue Storm”
